Shall I ring and ask why?

I see this car pretty much once a year when an old friend does a gathering at her parent's house around x-mas. A W124 with temp plates from 2010. Why is it fenced in? Albeit with this tiny fence? The little tree clearly shows that it hasn't been moved since then, yet it still has no moss on it. Like they do wash it at least once or twice a year. It obviously was in good knick when they parked it there, still no visual rot, but I noticed that the exhaust has dropped on the ground this year. And this is by no ways a redneck area! Developers are moving in and parking spots are getting rarer and rarer.

I just want to to know! Was it Gramps' car who passed away and they want to keep it, but have no use for? Was it a getaway car and hiding it in plain sight was their best idea?

I just want to know what's up with this thing, but I am too "I don't know what to call it" to just ring the doorbell and ask.

if your interested in buying it then go and knock on their door if not they'll probably think your weird and tell you to get lost if you was to just inquire as to why it's there like that

I'd leave a letter. Maybe they are car farming. One day there will be mini W124s on the tree :D
